STAFF MEETING IDEAS – The Church Inspector

I posted this a couple of years ago and feel it deserves another look. The Wall Street Journal documents a recent phenomenon in church life — The Professional Church Inspector! Thomas Harrison is paid $1500 plus travel expenses to visit your church and offer a site inspection, worship-service evaluation and detailed report. Most of us do not belong to churches that could swing that kind of cash — no matter how great the findings of the report. However, if you read this article, you kinda get the sense of what a detailed report of your church would look like. It’s all about walking through your church with the eyes of a new visitor. What would they notice? How would they be greeted? This is a great discussion starter for your next Staff meeting!
